Mumbai : In the wake of the vessel incident involving the M.V. Dali at the Baltimore port on March 26th, the Seafarers and Dockers Union of India (SADU) has issued a fervent call for accountability and justice. In a letter addressed to the Director General of Shipping, Sunil Gadekar, General Secretary of SADU, expressed deep concern over the tragic event, which has reverberated throughout the maritime industry.
The incident, which resulted in the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, has sparked outrage and prompted SADU to stand in solidarity with the citizens of the USA. Gadekar emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident and called for stringent measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
Highlighting the plight of Indian seafarers onboard the Dali and those impacted by the bridge collapse, SADU urged for swift and comprehensive support for all affected crew members.
