Recognizing Supply Chain Excellence Across India
The Top 30 Supply Chain Champions represent companies that have set a benchmark for supply chain management in India by demonstrating exceptional performance in areas such as profitability, value creation, digitalization, sustainability, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The ranking process included analysis of over 1,000 listed companies and 100 unlisted companies across 24 sectors.
This year’s top five companies — Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Nestle India Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd., Britannia Industries Ltd., and Diageo India — stood out for their innovative strategies and consistent excellence in supply chain execution.
Detailed Ranking Methodology
The ISCM’s robust ranking framework employed a mix of quantitative and qualitative parameters. It involved:
- Quantitative Performance: ISCM measured companies on key metrics such as Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), profitability, and sectoral performance.
- Supply Chain Intensity: Focus was placed on companies’ investments in digital technologies, sustainability efforts, and expanding their supply chain reach.
- Supply Chain Maturity: Emphasis was given to resilience, risk management, and how companies have adapted to the rapidly changing global supply chain landscape.
Surveying Chief Supply Chain Officers (CSCOs)
In the final stage of evaluation, ISCM sent out questionnaires to CSCOs of the top companies. The insights shared by these executives provided valuable qualitative data that complemented the quantitative measures, painting a holistic picture of how each company performed in its supply chain operations.
