Union Minister Encourages Growth in India’s Maritime Sector
Noida, Uttar Pradesh : Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, visited the International Maritime Institute (IMI) in Noida and engaged with student cadets while also assessing the institute’s infrastructure and facilities.
Fostering a Vision for Atmanirbhar Bharat
In his address, Mr. Sonowal emphasized India’s transition into challenging yet exciting times and the importance of pooling resources to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India as an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a developed nation by 2047. He further stressed ” There is a need for India to embrace this opportunity with top-notch seafaring skills, excellent maritime infrastructure, and a thriving maritime trade sector™.

The Minister’s visited and reviewed institute’s infrastructure, campus facilities, ship simulator room, firefighting sites, swimming pool, and more.
